Bulgaria's entry into Schengen marks a new era of growth and enhanced services for our clients.

Bulgarian freight forwarding and transport company NextSped has expressed its excitement and full support for the long-awaited accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen Area. This historic step, which removes border controls between the two countries and the rest of the Schengen members, is expected to have a profoundly positive impact on the transport and logistics sector.

“Bulgaria's entry into Schengen marks a new era of growth and enhanced services for our clients. The elimination of border checks will significantly reduce transit times, optimize costs, and allow us to provide faster and more competitive logistics solutions,” said a representative of NextSped.

The company highlighted that the removal of delays at border crossings will improve the efficiency of supply chains, benefiting businesses across Europe. “As a transport and logistics company, we understand how crucial time and reliability are to our clients. Schengen membership allows us to operate more seamlessly across the EU and deliver exceptional value,” the representative added.

The decision to admit Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen Area was finalized by the EU Council in December 2024, following the fulfillment of all technical and political criteria. NextSped joins the broader business community in celebrating this milestone, which is set to strengthen regional economic integration and connectivity.
